Set up career goals for clarity and self confidence | Questions will be asked about career goals of the candidate in interviews

Career goals should be clear. Only then one can perform their duties very effectively and with total power.  And while trying for new opportunities, attending the job interview with total clarity and self confidence is possible with a clear career goal.

When working in the same company for a long period and trying for new job, one should be very clear about the progress of the career. Only then one can answer the questions of the interviewer about the job skills, jobs did and presently doing. Interviewer definitely asks questions like, what the career goals are and where you want to see yourself after five years, to analyze the future goals of the candidate in the career.

It is necessary from the Company’s angle to know the career goals of the candidate and to analyze the skills of the candidate. It will be estimated whether the company goals and career goals of the candidate are the same or not. To know this the interviewer asks the candidates why he is interested in the job offered by the company. When the goal of the candidate is clear, he works with a focus. This helps for the growth of the company. Likewise if the goal of the company and the career goal of the employee is the same, the growth of the company and the career of the employee will be at a high level.

Objective statement in the resume reveals the career goal. Interviewer tries to know the work attitude, future goals of the candidate more deeply and extensively by asking the question ‘what are the career goals?’ One should ask themselves some questions to prepare well for the interview.

At the beginning of the career: One should ask oneself, the questions like what were the career goals when just out of the college, what type of jobs were tried for and what were the reasons for that. One can get some clarity while answering these questions.

Progress of the career: By estimating things like the problems faced in the career, key decisions, training and skills learnt, actual goals relating to career can be understood.

Future: Answers to the two questions, why the job is being changed, and where you want your career to be after five years asked by the interviewer, explain the short term and long term goals of the candidate. Answering clearly and with self confidence about the career goals, can create a sense of belief in the interviewer. And with this the candidature of the applicant, for the desired post in desired company can be confirmed.
