The human body temperature is 98.6o Fahrenheit and brain sees to that this temperature is maintained. When we move to a cooler place, the temperature of the body reduces and signals are sent to the brain.  When the brain receives the signals, it tries to increase the temperature of the body by any means. Shivering is a part of this process and it is related to the pulse system of the body. When the body moves to cool places, the main parts of the body try to move the nerves around them in order to increase the temperature of the body. The movement of the nerves is the result of shivering and when the nerves in the chin move faster, we teeth make sounds by touching each other.
