SOLEKSHA that causes no environmental pollution | Working and details of solar energy driven rickshaw, named as Soleksha

Soleksha

The name of rickshaw seen  in the picture is ‘Soleksha’, which is priced at Rs. 70,000. Its specialty is that  it runs on solar electricity. Photo voltaic cells are arranged on the top of the rickshaw. Electricity will be supplied to the motor which runs the rickshaw. Once charged, this rickshaw can run up to 35 to 40kms. Motor switch will be present at the handle. If motor is not necessary, rickshaw wala can turn it off, and can ride the rickshaw with the help of pedals. The weight of the person traveling in it, including the driver, should not be more than 200kgs. With the increase of weight of the persons traveling in it, the charging of the battery exhausts quicker. This battery works for two or three years. Price of this batter will be between Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 6,000. This rickshaw is made by the HBL Power Systems which works with Hyderabad as head office.

This is solar energy!

Solar energy will be available in almost all the regions of the state on at least  300 days of the year. There is no deficiency of solar energy on the day time and hence the rickshaw can be charged even when it is being driven. When the day is sunny, it is expected that solar insulation per square meter will be 4 to 7 kilowatt hour. Hence there will be no problem for charging this solar energy driven rickshaw.
