Sri Krishna Committee report on Telangana released on 6th Jan 2011 | Home minister releases Sri Krishna Committee report on Telangana in to public after all-party meeting
Central Home Minister P.Chidambaram announced that Sri Krishna Committee report will be made available for public on 6th January 2011. On that day, all party meeting would be conducted and after that home minister will be releasing the report to the public. On 5th January 2010, Home ministry has conducted a meeting with eight parties. After one year, meeting with those eight parties will be held. It is announced that the report would be released to the public once the home ministry discusses with all the parties and organizations which have relation with this issue of Telangana. Chidambaram told that central forces getting accumulated in Hyderabad and other areas is for curbing different sections of people and their emotions, so that undesirable events are prevented. He has also made it clear that police forces have been brought to this place, not for threatening the people, but to protect law and order in case of any unwanted circumstances. Until there is no disturbance to law and order, police forces would be confined to police stations and main offices. Government will be initiating the process of consulting in regard to all the aspects given in the Sri Krishna Report. All those who have faith in democratic values would believe that it takes time to take a new decision after necessary consultations. Home minister invited the assurance given by all political parties, groups to protect peace, integrity, law and order.
