Students Global Aptitude Index (SGAI) is conducted to decide the career option after tenth standard | Book knowledge is not enough to get good score in the SGAI exam
Central Board Of secondary Education is always ahead in introducing new schemes in the educational system. In the past, it had introduced the grade system in order to reduce the stress on the students and it had introduced Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation Scheme in the place of annual examination. It is continuing the same spirit and it had introduced a new aptitude test which is Students Global Aptitude Index (SGAI) to test the skills of the 10th class students in various aspects. This aptitude test is designed to test the knowledge of the student in subjects like scientific, numerical, social and behavior sciences. They had introduced the exam in order to encourage the students to gain knowledge from outside other than books. Mental abilities, decision making and knowledge from outside play an important role in gaining good marks for the exam. The interest of the candidate can be known with the help of this test and the specialty of the test is to decide the career which should be taken by the candidate after 10th class. This exam is introduced in ten thousand CBSE associated schools across India and the exam will be in paper and pencil method for two hours. The exam will be conducted on January 15th, 2011. CBSE is conducting workshops to bring awareness in the people. The final decision in conducting the exam is taken by the school authorities.
