Listen completely

Doors of open communication can be opened by encouraging the team members to talk.  Advice them, to explain the problem clearly.  Listen patiently to what the other person is saying.  If the origin of the conversation is not understood ask them to repeat it for clarity.  Ask them questions like what is their opinion and what are the problems being faced to discuss more deeply.  Encourage to discuss the matter in different angles to know the actual reason for problem. Do not participate in the discussion with a preset opinion.  This would not be helpful for effective listening.  Listen with an open mind and cross-check once again before reacting.

It is better to react only after completely listening to the team mate.  Interfering in between may not help to understand the matter fully.  Even if the matter is understood, let the other person finish his arguments.   Finally analyze the matter and react accordingly.
