National Power Training Institute in Nagpur is offering good opportunity for the engineering diploma students. People can get good job by getting trained in one year post diploma course in Thermal power plant engineering. There is good name for NPTI in offering power plant engineering.

NPTI is the institute which prepares experts in power engineering and it is related to many government and private electricity companies. There are graduation and diploma courses in power engineering. Notification for post diploma in thermal power plant engineering for 2011-2012 is released. Duration of the course is two semesters.

Thermal power plant operation, Maintenance and total knowledge about power plants is given to the students. On job training is given to the students as a part of the training program.  Eligibility for 100 megawatts and more power plants is obtained with this training.

Selection is done based on marks in NPTI  training


There are 65 seats in total and students who complete three year diploma in mechanical/ electrical/ control instrumentation engineering can apply for the post diploma course. Minimum of 60% marks are required in diploma course and selection is based on marks in diploma only. There won’t be any written exam and few seats are given for sponsored candidates. Placement will be given for the students who complete the diploma course in NPTI. The fee for course is one lakh rupees and it is Rs.1,50,000 for the sponsored students. Application process and other details are given in the institute website. Counseling information is sent through E-mail for the students. Last date for submission of the applications is January 17th, 2011 and course will be started in March 2011.
