UCO bank released notification for Probationary Officers Posts | Free coaching for reserved category candidates

UCO bank is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruiting them in to Probationary Officers Posts.  Selection of the candidates will be done in two phases that are written test and an interview.  Candidates who secured cutoff marks in written test will be selected for the interview.

Written exam consists of 4 sections that are General  Awareness and Computers – 50 questions for 60 marks; Test of English Knowledge – 50 questions for 60 marks; Quantitative Aptitude – 50 questions for 60 marks;  Test of Reasoning 75 questions for 80 marks.  Duration of the written test is 2 hours 15 minutes.

When compared to United Bank of India candidates have to face two additional tests namely General Awareness and Descriptive tests.  Latest political, economical and social developments, awards – persons, important dates etc are the topics from which more questions can be expected.  Therefore candidates will have to design preparation plan accordingly.

Descriptive paper is given duration of 1 hour and the awareness of candidates in current affairs will be tested.  Candidates will have to write essay type answers for five questions for 100 marks in 1 hour duration.  Candidates will have to have an Awareness of latest social developments and English communication skills to be successful in this exam. Study the changes that are taking place in present economy.  Prepare notes with important points by reading news papers and business magazines.

Minimum qualification
UCO bank has prescribed minimum qualifying marks for selecting candidates for interview.  This depends on the number of candidates and number of vacancies.  But in descriptive test, general category candidates will have to secure 40% marks and SC, ST, OBC and PC candidates will have to secure 35% marks.

Free coaching for reserved category candidates
UCO bank is offering free training facility for candidates who have applied for the exam and belong to reserved category.  This facility will be offered to candidates on first come and first served basis.  In Andhra Pradesh, free coaching facility is available in Hyderabad.

 

 

 

Service bond for Two year
Candidates who are selected for the Probationary Officers posts will have to sign a service bond stating that they will work in the bank for at least two years.  Two year probationary period method is also implemented.
