Falaknuma Palace

Falaknuma palace is one of the finest buildings in Hyderabad and visitors will be allowed into the palace very soon.  Since two years Taj group of hotels is making arrangements for the visitors.  The palace will be opened for the public from November in the supervision of Palace Trust Authority.  This palace is famous for beautiful carvings and artistic interiors.  This palace was built by Nawab Vikar-ul-Umra and is located south of Charminar on a hill named kohe-toor.  And this was gifted to VI Nizam Mir Mehaboob Alikhan as he was very impressed with the building.  This was used as a royal guest house.  Foreign visitors were also given accommodation in this palace.  The marble used in the construction of Falaknuma Palace was imported from Italy.  The famed dining hall of the palace could seat 200 guests on the dining table.  Now this palace is being converted into a star hotel by Taj Group of Hotels.  VIPs were allowed into this palace in October and common people will be allowed in to this palace from November.
