What are the changes in the exam pattern of the GRE exam? | What are the new topics in the GRE exam?

The GRE exam pattern is going to change in the coming year. There are 6 sections in the new pattern. The first section is analytical section and there are two essay type questions. They should complete these questions in 30 minutes and then there will be competitive questions in the next two sections. They should complete the 20 questions in 35 minutes. There will be 20 questions in each of the other two verbal sections. The last section is experimental one and it will be in verbal or competitive method. There is an option for to use the on screen calculator.

Numeric entry:

This is a new scheme and the student should give the answer by seeing the question. This is different from the multiple choices.

Select multiple answers:

The student can select the correct answer from the given answers.

Chart/graphics/table:

There will be more questions based on the charts, graphics and tables.

The students should answer many questions based on the facts in the real life.

Reading comprehension:

The students used to read the paragraph and answer the questions but now they should select the correct option from the multiple choices given.

Sentence comprehension:

There will be one or more fill in the blanks in the sentences and they will give three words. The candidates should answer the questions and place them correctly. They won’t give the marks if even one blank is left.

Sentence equivalence:

These are similar to the completion of the sentences. They should select the correct word and fill the sentence with the appropriate words.
