What are the government jobs with intermediate? | What are the details of the government jobs for the post of data entry and lower division clerk?

The notification was released for the jobs of data entry and lower division clerk to fill them with the combined higher secondary level exam 2010. This is a good opportunity for the candidates to get the job in the central government. It is easy to get the job as there is no interview and the selection is done based on the written exam and the skills. The last date for the applications is 20th august.

Those who want submit the application through online should download the form from www. ssconline.nic.in and pay the fee through state bank of India. After that, they should send the details of the fee through online.

  • There is fee concession for the SC, ST and girl candidates.
  • The age of the candidate should be between 18-27 years,
  • The exam centers in Andhra Pradesh are at Hyderabad, Guntur, Kurnool, Rajahmundry and tirupathi.

Eligibility: Intermediate

Selection process:

Data entry operators: Based on the written exam and computer skill test.

Lower division clerk: Based on the written exam and typing test.

There will be only one written exam for the data entry operators and the lower division clerks and it will be in objective type. This exam will be conducted on October 31st from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The duration of the exam is 2 hours.

There will be four parts in the written exam which are

1)      General intelligence

2)      English language

3)      Numerical aptitude

4)      General awareness

The exam is conducted for 200 marks in which each part contains 50 marks. The exam will be in objective type and the questions are asked in the form of multiple choice. The question will be in English and Hindi. There is negative marking for the wrong answers and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. There will be questions on the basics as the eligibility for the exam is intermediate.

General intelligence:

There will be questions from the verbal and non verbal areas. There will be analogy, series, alphabetical series, blood relations, problem solving, decision making and other topics. The non verbal part contains analogy, classification series etc.

English language:

The basics in the grammar, puzzles, arrangement of the sentences and synonyms and antonyms etc are asked. The writing ability of the candidate is also tested.

Numerical ability:

The candidate should learn the number system, basic calculations, simplifications, percentages, simple interest, profit and loss etc. There will be questions from the areas like time-distance, time-work and menstruation.

The candidate should practice the basics in the syllabus and they can practice the bank exam papers as their syllabus is similar to this syllabus.

General awareness:

This part is the scoring part and this part contains the questions based on the current affairs. Even though the basic questions are from current affairs, they will be based on the topics like sports, history, geography, economy, politics, Indian history and science and technology. This part of the exam will test the observation skills and understanding skills. They should study the news paper everyday and competitive exam magazines. It is necessary to prepare the subjects history, economy, science and technology other than the current affairs.

The skill test is conducted for the candidates those who obtained the qualifying marks in the written exam. The candidates who come for the data entry jobs should be able to type the passage with 8000 key depressions per hour. The duration of the test is 15 minutes and the candidate should be able to make 2000 to 2200 strokes/key depressions.  This skill test is only conducted for the qualifying basis and so the candidates who pass this exam will only get the appointment.

In the same way, the candidates for the lower division clerk jobs should attend the computer typing exam. The candidates should be able to type 35 words in English and 30 words in Hindi per minute. This is also a qualifying exam only.

Staff selection commission exam:

Most of the candidates don’t know about the exam which is conducted by the staff selection commission to fill the posts in the central government. The reason for this is that there is no publicity of these exams. This exam is conducted is only once in the year and this is similar to the bank exam. The candidates who write the bank exam are given extra opportunity to write this exam also. There is an opportunity for the candidates who are writing other competitive exams to write this exam also. The exam fee is also less compare to other exam fees. There is full concession for the girl candidates.

There is three months of time for the exam and the candidates can prepare well for the exam. The candidates should practice atleast 5 to 6 hours everyday to cover all the subjects.

Exam specialties:

  • There is no interview and the selection is done based on the written exam and skill test only. This helps the rural area people.
  • There is no descriptive test even it is similar to the bank exam.
  • The qualifying marks are based on total marks from all the subjects and there is no need to get the qualifying in every subject.
  • There is syllabus for every subject and this helps the candidate to study the required amount of the subject only.

By observing the syllabus, it is similar to the clerks post syllabus in the bank exams.

  • There will be more questions based on the non verbal reasoning and the candidates should concentrate on the non verbal reasoning.
  • There will be more questions on the basics of the number system and the candidate should concentrate on them. There will be questions on the percentage and work-time.
  • They should study the current affairs from the last 6 months to attempt the questions in the general awareness part.
  • The English part is also easy and the candidate should concentrate on the grammar part. It is easy to attempt the English part if the candidate practices the reading skills. They should read the comics, story books and other English books along with the newspapers.
