YS Jagan resignation letter highlights | Jagan wrote a letter to Mrs. Sonia Gandhi expressing his dissatisfaction

Cuddapah MP Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy has tendered his resignation for the MP post on 29.11.2010 and he wrote a letter to Mrs. Sonia Gandhi expressing his dissatisfaction over the way his family is treated after the death of his father.

Jagan   in his 5 page letter said that he is facing humiliation since the last 14 months and people around are trying to tarnish the image of his father late Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy.  And he said that he is shocked by the efforts being made to divide his family by offering his uncle Mr. Y. S. Vivekananda Reddy, a minister post.

Jagan also said that all these efforts are being done to expel him from the Congress party and also to cause damage to his father’s image.  He questioned what his or his family member’s crime is.  He also wrote in his letter that he was the first to propose the name of Mr. K. Rosaiah as a Chief Minister after his father’s sudden demise though he has the support of more than 150 MLAs.

Jagan said that his rivals could not digest the fact that his father has so many followers which is proved while Jagan is consoling people who lost their near ones because of his father’s death.  He said ‘Odarpu Yatra’ is his personal issue as he has the responsibility to console people who faced loss due to his father’s death.  He said he was pained by the way the Congress high command has treated his family while they were in Delhi seeking the appointment of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi to explain about his ‘Odarpu Yatra’.  The appointment was given to them after one month.

Jagan wrote to Mrs. Sonia Gandhi that he was offended by the way some congress leaders criticized some programs that were telecasted in Sakshi Television.  Some people has also attacked Sakshi Television office which has the support of high command in Delhi he alleged.

Finally he wrote in his letter that he was taught to follow high values in personal as well as political life by his father. Though the party is waiting for an opportunity to expel him from the party he himself he resigning from the party as well as an MP along with his mother Mrs. Vijayamma who is an MLA.  He also requested other MLAs not to resign from the party to support him.
